Crypton Future Media, Inc. (headquartered in Sapporo, Hokkaido) has officially announced SNOW MIKU 2026, a winter festival where Snow Miku (Hatsune Miku) supports Hokkaido.
The main events will be held on February 7 (Sat) and 8 (Sun), 2026, with this year’s theme set as “Sweet Patisserie.”
Dressed in pastel dessert-inspired outfits, Snow Miku and her companion Rabbit Yukine will once again bring color and joy to Hokkaido’s winter season.

What Is “SNOW MIKU”?
The SNOW MIKU festival began in 2010, inspired by a “white snow sculpture of Hatsune Miku” created for the Sapporo Snow Festival.
It celebrates Hokkaido through music, art, exhibitions, collaborations, and more, with Snow Miku and her pet character Yukine as its mascots.
Organized annually by Crypton Future Media, which is based in Sapporo, the event has grown into one of Hokkaido’s signature winter attractions, now marking its 17th consecutive year in 2026.
Theme and Costume: “Sweet Patisserie” Design Selected via Fan Contest
Each year, Snow Miku’s costume design is chosen through public submissions on the creative platform piapro.
For 2026, the theme “Sweet Patisserie” inspired fans to submit dessert-themed designs.
Out of six finalists, cold_air’s design was selected through fan voting.

Main Visual Illustrated by “Boota”
The official main visual for SNOW MIKU 2026 was illustrated by Boota, based on cold_air’s winning design.
With a soft pastel palette and delicious sweets in hand, Boota’s artwork captures the theme of “Sweet Patisserie” with warmth and elegance.

Theme Song “SHIAWASE FOR YOU!” by Iyowa
The official theme song, “SHIAWASE FOR YOU!”, was written and composed by popular music creator Iyowa, featuring Hatsune Miku on vocals.
A short version can be heard in the official promotional video, while the full track will be released at a later date.
Main Event: February 7–8 at Wing Bay Otaru
The festival’s main event will take place at Wing Bay Otaru, directly connected to JR Otaru-Chikkō Station, on February 7 (Sat) and 8 (Sun).
Visitors can look forward to a variety of attractions including exhibitions, workshops, product booths, merchandise sales, stage performances, and more.
A special “Creators Market” will also be held, where fans can purchase CDs and items directly from music creators.

Snow Miku Snow Sculpture at the 76th Sapporo Snow Festival
From February 4 (Wed) to 11 (Tue, national holiday), the 76th Sapporo Snow Festival will once again feature a Snow Miku snow sculpture, continuing a tradition that began in 2010.
Since 2014, Rabbit Yukine has joined as part of the display, delighting visitors each year.
As official tourism ambassadors for Sapporo, Miku and Yukine will take center stage in snow form.

The “Snow Miku Train” Returns to Sapporo Streets
Starting November 15, 2025 (Sat), the fully wrapped “Snow Miku Train” will run through Sapporo until March 22, 2026 (Sun).
Operating roughly between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM, the tram features exclusive interior posters and announcements.
A must-see for both locals and travelers exploring wintertime Sapporo.
Official CD “Fukashigi Pralinage feat. Hatsune Miku” Releases January 21, 2026
To celebrate the event, the Vocaloid music label KARENT will release an exclusive CD titled
