The official website for the TV anime Let This Grieving Soul Retire has revealed the synopsis, preview images, and new cast information for Episode 18, titled “I Just Want to Relax in a Hot Spring.”
Based on the popular light novel series Let This Grieving Soul Retire: The Weakest Hunter’s Ultimate Party-Building Technique by Tsukikage, the franchise has surpassed 2.4 million copies in circulation. Following the success of its first cour in Fall 2024, which ranked high on multiple streaming platforms, the series continues to gain attention for its sharp humor, wild misunderstandings, and heartwarming fantasy setting.
The second cour airs every Monday at 11:30 p.m. on TOKYO MX, BS Nippon TV, Sun TV, MBS, and AT-X. Additionally, ABEMA and d Anime Store stream episodes every Saturday at 11:30 p.m., ahead of the TV broadcast. Other services stream new episodes later in the week.
Episode 18 “I Just Want to Relax in a Hot Spring” – Synopsis
After a long journey, Cry and his companions finally arrive in a long-awaited hot-spring town. Just as Cry begins to unwind in the bath, he encounters a dragon soaking peacefully in the same water!
Meanwhile, Arnold and his group—having barely escaped from the Night Palace—also reach the town. Now that they’ve experienced Cry’s “ever-changing” abilities firsthand, the two parties reconcile. Yet Arnold seems lost in thought…
At the same time, a mysterious presence begins to move within the town’s shadows—and Cry is suddenly abducted by a strange demi-human.

Story Introduction
“Let’s become treasure hunters. Our goal—nothing less than to be the world’s greatest heroes.”
Among the six who once made that vow, one boy stood out for his lack of talent. His name was Cry Andric.
